Holiday cottages in Cornwall are great for vacations ,If you try and move away from the frequented routes of the tourist trail you will find some real vacations in a Cottage.

A good example of this is the South West of Britain . This may be an area of the country that is sometimes overlooked by visitors and yet contains all the main elements for a fabulous stay. You can definitely be forgiven for knowing small about this area, so perhaps you are not aware that it contains the best Roman spa city in the country, golden beaches, an indoor rainforest and some great surfing. Indeed, you will find this article only gives you a tiny taster of what the area has to give.

To start with, let’s turn our attention to Bath, the unique town that’s a World Heritage Site. The town of Bath was set up before the Romans even arrived in the UK Isles but it’s the Romans who expanded the town and helped build its reputation. This was basically due to their development of the intensive Roman Baths complicated, which is still open to visitors. Indeed, you are still in a position to drink the spa water, produced from a natural spring! The town is also famous for its excellent and particular Georgian design nowhere is this more obvious than when you see the Georgian crescents. The wonder of Bath is the modern and the traditional appear to live side by side. Some place else in South West Britain, Cornwall is a hidden gem that appears to have stayed that way regardless of the fondness of the British for visiting the county all alone holidays. The world famous Eden Project has given a central focus for tourism in the area but it is by now way all that is on offer.

You will find old fashioned, conventional beach cities, as well as modern locations where you can relax on the beach and even enjoy the best surfing conditions in the country ( St Ives is very popular for this pursuit ). Getting to the South West of Britain has never been so easy, with Flybe flights available direct to Exeter airfield. So the next time you concentrate on visiting Britain, have a look at what the South West has to give. You will be nicely surprised.
